WELCOME

Welcome to Filton Avenue Primary School. We are a happy, caring and inclusive school and believe that everyone can achieve, everyone can learn, and everyone belongs. The school community is diverse and vibrant, and our safe, secure and aspirational learning environment provides everyone with the opportunity to participate in a range of stimulating experiences.

At Filton Avenue Primary, we have high expectations of our children, and of ourselves, and we are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for each and every child. Our dedicated team of staff work hard to support the children at work and at play, ensuring positive attitudes to learning are fostered.

Our school values permeate everything we do, as our 2022 Ofsted inspection report noted.

‘The school’s values of collaboration, aspiration, respect and endeavour underpin the way in which pupils and staff treat each other. This brings out the best in everyone for the benefit of the school.’

We have created a rich, engaging, active and challenging learning experience through the delivery of a 21st century curriculum that provides all our children with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the modern world. We value reading, writing and mathematics and provide our children with meaningful opportunities, so they can develop these key skills during their time at Filton Avenue.

At Filton Avenue, we value and recognise the views of children, parents/carers and all members of our school and wider community, as we go together on our journey towards success.

If you want to find out more about our school, please take the time to explore our website. It is full of information about our school, our vision, our curriculum and our children’s achievements. You can also find out more about our school by exploring our social media pages, and by downloading our welcome book

We also welcome the opportunity to show you our school; these can be arranged at any time by contacting us directly or by attending one of our open sessions held in the autumn terms (dates under the admissions section of the website).

Take Our Tour

"Everything about the school’s response to the pandemic, from the well organised and supportive physical packs, the contact from the leadership team, the contact with the class, the weekly shout outs, variety of home learning and the really lovely way the return was managed has been absolutely excellent."

“Class teachers have been very available during school hours and give quick responses to messages and feedback on school work. The work provided has been great, with plenty of Zoom, videos and pdfs. Text books and work books have been provided too. The daily Zoom meetings have been great, for social interaction as well as support with the work. You have done a spectacular job of making sure my 2 children are not missing out on the curriculum or social interaction in VERY tough circumstances. Thank you so so much!”
