We’d like to say a big thank you to all the children, parents, carers, families and staff who were involved in completing the sports relief mile and collecting sponsorship. As a whole school, we raised over £1600 for sports relief charities. Well done!
We have now arranged the dates for the meetings for parents and carers of the children joining us in Reception in September 2018. The dates are :
Wednesday, 20th June 2018, at 7 pm
Wednesday, 27th June 2018, at 7 pm
These meetings will give you the opportunity to meet the staff, visit the classrooms and learn more about your child’s start at school. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Invitations will be sent out next week.
Well done to those children that have received a sticker and raffle ticket every day this week! 1 more day to collect these ready for the raffle on Friday. Children have been making posters as part of the whole school competition sharing why being in school is so important #everylessoncounts
Our playground buddies led an assembly to explain what it means to be a playground buddy and what help and support they can offer in the playground. They acted out some playground behaviour scenarios and discussed what different people might do to help.
From today the local authority will be informing parents and carers of the reception school place their child is being offered. We are delighted to welcome all our new reception children and their families to Filton Avenue Primary School.
We sending you a letter today, by first class post, to let you know which site your child is being offered.
Pupils who have received three Golden Tickets across the term enjoyed tea/squash and cake with Miss Datta and Mr Roedeck last week. All these children have been wonderful adverts for the school’s values of Collaboration, Aspiration, Respect and Endeavour. Well done!
